FR-1410 [Decabromodiphenyl ethane (DBDPE)]

FR-1410 is offered by ICL-IP as a flame retardant additive containing 82% aromatic bromine. Its high bromine content coupled with its exceptional thermal stability makes it the material of choice for a large variety of applications.

Main features about FR-1410 are:

  • Its chemistry is not related with diphenyl oxide.
  • Being RoHS compliant, it can be used in the production and sales of electrical and electronic equipment in Europe.
  • It is commonly used in polyolefins (PP, PE and their copolymers), styrenic homoand copolymers and several engineering thermoplastics like PBT and polyamides.
  • It is suitable for both UL-94 V-2 and V-0 ratings.
  • It offers an optimal balance of properties.

FR-720 [Tetrabromobisphenol-A, bis (2,3-dibromopropyl ether)]

FR-720 is an additive flame retardant containing both aromatic and aliphatic bromine. FR-720 is suitable for polyolefin and styrenic resins and it is especially recommended for UL-94 class V-2. It is also applicable in class V-0 polypropylene. FR- 720 is cost efficient and allows good physical properties of the resin to be maintained.

FR-1524 [Tetrabromobisphenol-A (TBBA)]

FR-1524, tetrabromobisphenol-A is widely used as a reactive flame retardant in the manufacture of epoxy, phenolic and polycarbonate resins. It is exceptionally suitable where low colour and high clarity are mandatory. It is also cost-effective as an additive flame retardant in applications such as ABS and is an important intermediate in the preparation of more sophisticated flame retardants.

TexFRon® P+ is a wash durable water-based brominated acrylate copolymer, combined with an additive which provides solutions for flame and smoldering suppression, when wash durable FR coating and backcoating formulations are required.

TexFRon® P+ complements the general purpose TexFRon® P+ , to efficiently cover the full range of coating application from 100% polyester fabrics to 100% cotton fabrics and any combination in between.

TexFRon® P+ has the following properties:

  • Chemically bound bromine within an acrylic copolymer dispersion.

F-2100 [Brominated Epoxy Polymer]

F-2100 is a polymeric brominated epoxy flame retardant additive, recommended for use in PBT and PC alloys. It has a good mechanical, physically and flow properties, high thermal and UV stability.

FR-803P [Brominated Polystyrene]

FR- 803P is a polymeric flame retardant with a high content of aromatic bromine. FR-803P provides high thermal stability as well as non-blooming properties. In addition, FR-803P has high CTI and low conductivity, making it most suitable for application in engineering thermoplastics such as polyamide, PET, PBT and their alloys.

FR-122P [Brominated styrene-butadiene copolymer]

Block copolymer of polystyrene and brominated polybutadiene ensures excellent fire performance in expanded polystyrene (EPS/XPS) for thermal insulation applications. This product exhibits good thermal stability with excellent environmental and health profile. FR-122P is an alternative product to FR-1206 (HBCD).

SR-245 [2,4,6-Tris(2,4,6-tribromophenoxy)-1,3,5 triazine]

SR-245 a brominated cyanurate is a proprietary, additive flame retardant. The combination of aromatic bromine and cyanurate provides high FR efficiency and good thermal stability. A major use of FR-245 is in ABS and HIPS. FR-245 combines good UV, impact and flow properties.
